The $1,000 worth of groceries were delivered at a time when the Burlington Food Pantry’s shelves were practically bare and they would not be getting their monthly delivery from the Greater Boston Food Bank. The Food Bank was overcommitted and had no more food to distribute.
In comes the Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club!
This morning was truly a “Rotary moment”; a feel good feeling to be a Rotarian and able to make a big difference in the lives of hundreds of residents.
What a great community service initiative, and how well it was received! Trule emotional moment!
Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) and its members proudly remain active addressing to the community needs, especially, during this unprecedented time of our lives. All members remained connected virtually and COVID-19 lockdown could not stop them doing their good work that Rotary stands for, fulfilling their commitment to service the community.
